A few hours after leaving her home in Lebanon, she and her brother were caught in the midst of a barrage of gunfire. Miraculously the gunman knew her uncle, a pediatrician, who saved his son's life, thus sparing their lives. Silva eventually made her way to southern California and has continued to write amazing stories. As current president of the Armenian International Women's Association, she has helped many other women discover their own stories, encouraging them to be all they can be.
Elisa Hays, Extraordinary Impact
In 2014, an 18-wheeler truck going 65mph hit Elisa's body. She wasn’t in a vehicle when it hit her. The impact launched her 90 feet through the air and left her impaled, on a guardrail.
Her 30-year career in the entertainment industry was over. Half Elisa's rear end was removed in an ICU while surgeons raced to save her life. She's literally a half-assed amputee. Saving her life took more than 20 major surgeries, including a high-risk kidney transplant, at 7 hospitals in 4 states spanning the North American continent. Elisa now speaks on leveraging adversity for true transformation.
Holly Hoffman, Survivor Nicaragua FINALIST: Season 21
After her 3 children had left for college, Holly wanted a challenge and change for her own life. She got it, gaining a spot for CBS's hit reality show, Survivor Nicaragua, Season 21. She stepped out of her comfort zone and was then pushed to her absolute limits, even as an athlete. As the last remaining member of the Espada Tribe and the last woman standing, Holly was then inspired to share her message of faith, perseverance and attitud and has done so ever since.

After playing for the Mighty Ducks Ice Hockey Team as well as the Angels during the World Series, her career took additional turns; most recently playing for the Paralympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
