  • TOO MUCH STUFF is your barrier
  • NOT WITTY ENOUGH is your escape route
  • NOT CHARMING ENOUGH is your fallback plan
  • NOT EXPERIENCED ENOUGH is your safety net
  • TOO CLOSE TO RETIREMENT is your delusion
  • TOO SERIOUS is your trap
  • LITTLE PATIENCE is your limitation
  • NO PURPOSE is your fault

Develop a Healthy Mindset

If you have faced or are facing any of the above bad mental code symptoms, you are not alone! Life is full of challenges, twists, changes and u-turns. It only takes an afternoon of people-watching to notice the variations, differences and characteristics of people’s facial structures, body types and mannerisms. In the same way, there are diverse personalities, individual assets and personal styles.

Whatever your style, strength or uniqueness, you can develop the mindset to weather and encounter your life-changes and bad mental code. Those changes can include job responsibilities, descending health, altered relationships and even a shift in your location.

One great way to work through changes, challenges, bad code and negative self-talk is journaling. I keep my journal in a place that is handy to access by my kitchen table. The extra ten minutes I spend early in the morning to write out my thoughts, doubts and dreams makes a huge difference in my focus. It’s almost as if I can leave the negativity on the paper and go on with my day.

Journaling may or may not work for you, but find something that will. Take control of your bad mental code NOW with POSITIVE MINDSETS and HABITS for a firewall of protection! I wrote a whole book and a recent online course about this as I have seen and worked with so many who are frozen in fear and uncertainty. Whatever you decide to do, take action. Don’t let this year go by with the bad code and virus of self-doubt and confusion! Remember —You are worth so much more than that!
